Remain in me

We are the branches

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit;apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5

Yes! Our wonderful Lord is the vine and we are his branches.

What a privilege and an honour to be part of him. We were astray, wandering in darkness. When we saw his light we knew that we did not belong to darkness and to the world.

We knew that we had found the treasure that our soul had been longing for ages.

We knew within us that he was the One. God himself became flesh for us!

We said yes to him by the faith HE gave us then HE brought us in his kingdom.
Praise HIS name!

Speak unto yourself

Speak to your soul

Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—Psalm 103:1-2

David in this psalm was speaking to himself as he was going through a difficult time.

I’m sure he was not feeling to praise the Lord but he knew in himself that the Lord was there and was with him.

The Lord is always there for everyone of us.
He has already forgiven everyone of us.
He loves everyone of us.
His spirit has been poured out for everyone of us.
There is joy in abundance in him through his spirit for everyone of us.

Open his eyes!

Seeing spiritually

And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:17

You certainly came across this story in the old testament. The prophet and his servant were surrounded by an army with chariots. Elisha’s servant had his natural eyes opened but his spiritual eyes were closed.

It’s not that he did not have spiritual eyes. He did have them. They were part of him. They were working properly but they were closed. Continue reading “Open his eyes!”

The new Eden

I’m home

This is where I belong and where I dwell now.

My ancestors had been put out of the garden because of disobedience and they had been cut off from the source of life.

The consequences of a life without the Father were so destructive.

Pain, depression, sicknesses, sorrow, hatred, envy, jealousy, love of money, corruption, murder, idolatry, hypocrisy, double mindedness and the list is so long…

Children of light

Shining in darkness

Praise the name of our Father in heaven who delivered us from darkness.
We were blind, in bondage, following the train of this world.

We were slaves, under the dominion of the deceiver.
The one who came to  steal, kill and destroy.

We were afraid of him. We were like preys in his chains, serving him not knowing who we were.

He has been dominated this world for such a long time that we ended up living in his ways, in darkness. Continue reading “Children of light”
