For us who believe

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.  Ephesians 1:18-19

Praise the Lord for his generosity which is one of his great characteristics. He firstly reconciled all humanity with him through the blood of the lamb.

God is not angry against us but he is at peace. His judgement fell on HIS Son who paid the price for all of us.

After seating Christ at his right hand, he secondly sent the Holy Spirit on earth so anyone who believes can receive him.

This is important to understand that God is at peace with all humanity. Jesus went back to heaven and sent to us the Holy Spirit.

We receive the Holy Spirit personally when we believe and HE brings all the goodness of heaven in us. Among all the blessings that are available in us through the Holy Spirit, there is one called “power”.

The Lord wants us to know that there is also power for us who believe. Ephesians 1:19

Power so we can raise above fear.
Power so we can be free from all kind of bondage.
Power so we can love ourselves and other around us.
Power so we can forgive.
Power so we can be healed.
Power so we can turn the other cheek.
Power so we can go the extra mile.
Power so we can smile.
Amen!

                                                            Power in the spirit

If we watch ourselves with our natural eyes, we will not see a lot of good in us but when we see ourselves Spiritually, the way our Heavenly Father sees us, we realise all the abundance lying in us.

This power which is available for us is the same as the mighty strength he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.. Ephesians 1:19-20

It’s important for us to grasp what is available for us who believe in Christ, who have received the Holy Spirit.

I remember when I spoke to my car key in Jesus name and the car key obeyed not because of my strength but because of God’s mighty strength available in me.

There is power available in the spirit of God who dwells in us. We need to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as we co-operate with him to release this power by faith.
