Remain in Heaven
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Colossians 3:2
If you are born again, your new home is Heaven. You are not going to heaven, you are already seated in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 2:6
Your body is still bound to the earth but your spirit is in Christ at the right hand of the Father. Our Heavenly Father has blessed us (past tense) with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places. Ephesians 1:4.
This is where we should dwell in our thinking if we are to bring Heaven on earth. If we want to experience God’s presence all the time we need to be focus on spiritual things.
In his Spirit we have fullness of peace, of joy, of love, of patience, of faith, of gentleness, of self-control, of meekness, of forgiveness, etc.. only good stuff!!
We should watch ourselves from above, recognizing that only our bodies belong to earth. Flesh and blood will not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:50
A question of focus
One may find that difficult to keep his or her mind on the things above but it’s just a question of focus. The more you focus on something, the more you magnify it. If you focus on Heaven, you will magnify it, you will magnify God and his living Word Jesus-Christ. If you focus on earthly problems you will magnify them.
As we focus on heavenly things, our earthly issues become less important. They still have to be dealt with but we can do them stress free and in complete peace, knowing that those earthly things cannot steal what we have right now in Heaven.
I have not watched or listened to the news for a good two months now and I enjoy not being polluted by all the bad news we hear in the world. Consequently I am more joyful, more peaceful, only hearing the good news of Jesus-Christ seated on the Throne.
I still get some glimpse of what is happening in the world as someone always tells me about this or that.
Do you want to grow spiritually and experience more of God ? Start to focus on the Lord Jesus and you won’t be disappointed.
