They are available
Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts. Exodus 31:1-5
Praise the Lord!
I am always amazed to see how the Lord is make us able to do things. Here in this scriptures, the children of Israel had just come out of Egypt after 500 years of slavery and God, the Almighty made them able to create the Tabernacle.
They did not have a precedent but God inspired them by his spirit and with the power of their imagination, they built the tabernacle as God intended it.
Power to create
The Lord filled them with His spirit which also a spirit of wisdom, knowledge and skills.
Do you know that the skills that you have, have been given to you by our heavenly Father ?
Betzalel was able to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.
All this because God has filled him with His spirit. And because he was yielding to the spirit of God, he was doing exactly what God wanted him to do.
All men have natural knowledge and skills given to them by the Our Heavenly Father. Now, choosing to be led by the Spirit and submitting those abilities to the Spirit of God is another question.
Men used their knowledge and skills to create the Babel tower which did not glorify God.
Men used their knowledge and skills to create Pyramids in Egypt which did not glorify God.
Men used their knowledge and skills to create the golden calf which did not glorify God.
Men used their knowledge and skills to create idols which did not glorify God.
Men used their knowledge and skills to create Nuclear bombs which did not glorify God.
And the list can be very long, think about cigarettes, drugs, pornography, weapons, all kings of selfish things not centered on Christ alone.
Who are you using your skills and abilities for ? For yourself, for the enemy or for the Lord ?
You are filled
If you are born, you must know that you are filled with the Spirit of God, who dwells in you. He never goes away.
You have the power to create just as Bezazel. God filled you with the fullness of His Spirit when you received Jesus-Christ as your Savior and Lord.
Your skills might not be sharp as the moment but they will become and train by releasing those skills by faith.
Why don’t you start to draft something today ?
You may have skills and abilities in writing, singing, dancing, organizing, imagining, talking, running, cooking, sewing, and so on. Just name it!
Are yo going to let those skills dormant or are you going to start using them for the Glory of God, led by His Spirit ?
You have been chosen by God just as Bezazel.
For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world […]. Ephesians 1:4
Faith and works
Bezazel did not have any living model so he can follow. God was doing something new. Without faith and works he would have never accomplished.
Faith to believe that it is God that’s inspire you and works to release in the natural world what you have believed coming from God.
That’s how Noah built the ark.
That’s how Abram left his country.
That’s how Isaac chose to sow in a country in land where there was famine.
That’s how Rahab hid the spies on her roof.
That’s how the woman of the issue of blood received her healing.
That’s how Peter raised Dorcas from the dead.
Whatever your skills are, submit them to Lord and yield to his Spirit.
When you start doing this, your journey on earth will take a different dimension.
