Always
In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel since the beginning until now […]. Philippians 1:4-5
Paul says here that he always pray with joy. What a great example to follow!
Knowing that we are saved and in constant fellowship with the Father and the Son through the Spirit should be enough to make our day every morning.
If you take only two minutes to reflect on your position in Christ: You are seated in the heavenly places right now! That’s a great subject of joy!
We are not going to heaven, we are already in heaven spiritually!! Because we are spirit in bodies of flesh. Being more conscious of this reality would ultimately lead us to always pray with joy.
Seriously, what can happen to us ? We are sealed in God by the Holy spirit (Ephesians 1:13), seated in Christ (Ephesians 2:6), and citizens of Heaven (Ephesians 2:19).
As citizens, our passport does not expire because it is covered by the blood of the lamb.
Freedom and confidence
We can indeed always pray with joy, because with the blood of Lamb we can approach God with complete freedom and confidence. (Ephesians 3:12)
We will never come to God as condemned people because the condemnation fell on His Son once for all. By we I mean born again Christians obviously!
Yes, sometimes we do not yield to what the spirit teaches us and we get into trouble then we feel ashamed but this is exactly why God destroyed the dividing wall. (Ephesians 2:14)
He destroyed it so that even if we mess up, we can approach our Father with freedom and confidence that we are forgiven and redeemed.
Are you praying with joy ? Or are you focused on what is wrong in the natural ?
Joy in tribulation
There is nothing better than being able to rejoice when you are in the midst of problems. This is real Christianity!
Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:12-13
I just love this scripture! It shows us how we are more than conquerors!
The real power is not only in casting out demons or in healing the sick (both are very important), but it’s also in rejoicing in tribulations. This is a great sign which shows that the power of Christ in really at work in us and through us.
Let’s keep our eyes focus on our Father’s word and promises and we will always pray with joy.
Take care today my friend!
