In love, he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus-Christ, in accordance to his pleasure and will to the praise of his glorious grace which he has freely given us in the one he loves. Ephesians 1:5-6

Each year in France on July 14th we celebrate the National day. It’s obviously a bank holiday and we celebrate the day France became a republic, not governed by a king anymore.

On that day each year this is the tradition for the President to give grace and to release some prisoners. We call this the “Presidential Grace”.

They would pick some prisoners who have well-behaved or some who have nearly finished their sentence and after examining the cases individually, they would submit a list of names to the President who would approve it.

 Only some prisoners would be released by grace

But, praise the Lord and King of kings who has released ALL OF US by his glorious grace.

We were prisoners of darkness because of our sinful nature.
We were slaves of our sins and away from God.
We were in bondage doing only what our selfish flesh would tell us to do.
We were unable to do anything good according to God’s standards.
We were enemies of God by nature.

Our master was the devil keeping us from the life of the Father with his lies spoken over us since we were born in the flesh.

But one day we heard the gospel of grace and we heard God speaking to our hearts and we decided to receive his grace.

Have you received his grace ?

He set us free!!

The Glorious King and Lord Jesus-Christ set us free.

God’s grace is more than a Presidential grace because his grace is available for anybody.

No matter how heavy your case is,
No matter how complicated your life is,
No matter what crime you committed,
No matter what guilty feelings you can feel right now,

You are F.O.R.G.I.V.E.N

Faultless,
Out of blame.
White as snow as long as you have received the Royal grace.

Our Heavenly Father gave us this opportunity in Jesus so we can start a new life full of peace and love.

Maybe you knew the Lord and had committed your life to him in the past then the issues of life dragged you away from him. You need to know that you are forgiven!

There is enough grace available in our Heavenly Father’s heart for you to start a new life again.

A life in which you will enjoy his fellowship.
A life in which you will fall sometimes but there will be no more condemnation.
A life filled with joy and peace.
