It seems obvious to start by the foundations when you build a house or anything that is supposed to last a long time.
We often struggle to do so with our lives.
Someone may say: “Well, I did not build my foundations! My parents or carers did!”
We know that children can experience traumatic experiences that can mark them for the rest of their lives. Child abuse, death of parents, illnesses, disabilities and so on, you name it.
Life seem to be unfair when you see the contrast between some lives.
The good news is that things don’t have to remain the same and you don’t have to finish the race the same way you started it. You are not destined to fail because you had a difficult upbringing.
Actually it’s the opposite. You can make a difference today by changing your mind about your past. Instead of carrying it like a burden, you can raise it like a trophy. Yes you can!
The bible says: “All things work together for the good of those who love God and who are called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28.
You love God even if you don’t feel and you are called according to his purpose.
So ALL that things that happened in your life until today, God can make them work together for YOUR good.
You just need to believe in that word. Faith comes by hearing. If you believe that there is hope for you, if you reach out to Lord and ask him to help you, he will surely, without a shadow of doubt, support you.
Not some things but ALL things work together for our good.
Be at rest today
