Praise the Lord, we have the Spirit!

I was talking to a friend yesterday over the phone and it was just amazing. We spent over 1 hour encouraging each other to walk in the Spirit of God.

We agreed that God created us for much more than what we are doing. We both knew that we should be living lives like Jesus lived.

Jesus said: “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12

While I was talking and listening to my friend, I could feel the fire inside of me growing.

I was so excited about what I was hearing and with what I was saying. We were encouraging each other to not be afraid and to go out there, loving people as Jesus did.

We were like brazing coals that if put together will trigger a fire. A big fire.

This fire is the Holy Spirit. God Himself living us. God is much more excited than we are, to do the works Jesus did on this earth.

Shouldn’t we allow this fire to go out and heal people, laying hands on them?
Shouldn’t we allow this fire to go out and show the power and love of God in a broken world?
Shouldn’t we allow this fire to go out and consume unbelief so faith can be planted and can grow?
Shouldn’t we allow this fire to go out destroy FEAR?
Shouldn’t we allow this fire to go out and burn the ropes that keep our fellow human beings in ignorance?

I’m telling you, I felt like Jeremiah when he said: “But if I say I’ll never mention the LORD or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!” Jeremiah 20:9

We all have this fire inside.

Let’s release the fire out there and give glory to God.
