Watch your thinking

As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Proverbs 22:7

We often underestimate or minimise the power of the thoughts we dwell on. The mind is like a machine always processing a thought.

Even when we are not thinking about anything specific, our mind is at work and it won’t be long before we start focusing on a thought. We move from thought to thought and they come to us like waves.

Thoughts are like birds. They fly around the tree and land whenever and wherever they feel. A tree cannot drive out a bird but we certainly can drive away the thoughts we don’t want by replacing them with those we choose.

Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Philippians 4:8

You can choose to think about what is good and not on what harms you.
What’s your thinking like?

The thoughts we dwell on will eventually become our beliefs if we keep nurturing them.

Thoughts are like birds, once they find a suitable place in your mind, they begin to build a nest, so they can remain.

Would you allow a raven to come and build a nest in your bedroom? Unless you are a bird lover, you will drive it away.

Be at peace today!
