Jesus was not talking lightly or metaphorically when he said: “Whatsoever you ask in prayer, believe you have received it and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24

Generally speaking, we know how to ask things to God but the problem is that we struggle to believe.
We struggle to believe and this is where to real power to receive is.
Abraham’s faith was tested by time but he eventually got the son he believed God for.

Romans 4:18-21 says:
¹⁸ Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” ¹⁹ Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. ²⁰ Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, ²¹ being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 

We have the key

We will not get everything we want because we will not believe that we have received everything we ask God.

However, the key to unlocking a life fulfilled is inside of us. We have the power to believe. All of us without exception have this power. We might not use but we have it.

Are we willing?

Are we willing to stand in faith regardless of the circumstances?
Time will challenge us.
Other people’s opinions will challenge us. They might laugh at us as we believe God against doctors’ opinions.
Doubt will challenge us.
Unbelief will challenge.
If we are willing to stand firm regardless of all those factors we WILL receive what we asked God.

I remember when my car was stuck in a car park for 3 nights and 4 days, the car key would not turn.
I went 3 times to spoke to the car in the name of Jesus and it would not turn.
I took one of my friends with me and he tried everything he could, putting oil in the barrel, etc.. but the car key would not turn. He advised me to get the car scrapped as it was an old car.
But I kept believing and went a 4th time and the miracle happened. You can read the full post here.

The power of believing is inside of us. We just need to use it.
