Moved by compassion

Jesus was moved

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way. Matthew 15:32

I am so blessed to see how compassion can move God!

This morning, I was praying in the Spirit but also with my understanding. I was asking the Lord to help me to hear from Him clearer.

A few minutes later, as I was still praying in the spirit, some scriptures came to my understanding.

One of them was: But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17.

Another one was: “for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13. Continue reading “Moved by compassion”

Behind the curtain

We have access

At that moment, the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split. Matthew 27:52

Praise the Lord for his goodness!

What a glorious moment for all mankind, that moment when the curtain was torn in two. That curtain had been designed by the Most High himself and first came to the natural through Bezalel and Oholiab’s works. (Exodus 36:1).

This curtain was called the shielding curtain (Exodus 39:34)  because it was separating the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place (Hebrews 9:2-4).

Only the high priest could enter the Most Holy place and only once a year. He would enter the Most Holy place with blood to offer for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. (Hebrews 9:7). Continue reading “Behind the curtain”

My soul rejoices

Inside of me

And my soul shall rejoice in the LORD; It shall exult in His salvation. Psalm 35:9

Like the psalmist, my soul rejoices because the Spirit of God lives inside of me.

My soul is full of joy and peace and love and patience and faith and gentleness and meekness and self-control and goodness.

The fruit of the spirit is inside of me. Here in my spirit where God dwells. Where the Father has established his presence.

Yes, the Father himself lives inside of me, in my spirit, and my soul rejoices.

My soul rejoices because my soul sees the fullness of God being poured out into my soul.
My soul rejoices because my emotions are dominated by the love of the Heavenly Father.
My soul rejoices because the peace of God is an everlasting peace and continually flows into my soul. Continue reading “My soul rejoices”

Power for us

For us who believe

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.  Ephesians 1:18-19

Praise the Lord for his generosity which is one of his great characteristics. He firstly reconciled all humanity with him through the blood of the lamb.

God is not angry against us but he is at peace. His judgement fell on HIS Son who paid the price for all of us.
